The quickest way to make your child a speed reader, if you don't want to do the teaching yourself, is to take your child to one of my 2-hour speed reading workshops.  Within minutes, 99% of all enrollees are already improving.  By the end of a 2-hour speed reading class, most children have at least doubled their reading speed.  And it is common to have students reading over 1,000 words per minute with improved comprehension.

Everybody really will get the results guaranteed with the Speed Reading 4 Kids manual, if they follow the directions. But, sometimes people feel more comfortable having an expert come, in person, and demonstrate how it's done.

Upcoming Speed Reading Classes, Workshops and Seminars

February 12, 2008.   6:30-8:30 PM.  Tumwater, WA.  Speed Reading Workshop sponsored by the Tumwater City Parks and Recreation Department.  A one-night workshop for children from ages 8-18.  One parent may attend class for free with each child enrolled.  Enrollment is $40 per child.  Enrollment fee includes all materials.  For more information, or to enroll, call 1-(360)-754-4160.

THE FOLLOWING ARE IN THE PLANNING STAGES:

Date: (Sometime between November 6th and November 14th) , 2008.  Time: TBA.  Salt Lake City, UT.  Speed Reading class sponsored by Homeschool Parents in the Salt Lake City area.  A one-night workshop for children aged 8-18.  One parent may attend class for free with each child enrolled.  Enrollment is $140 per child.  Those who enroll in this class have the option of purchasing (Optional.  Limit one copy each) of my book (SR4K) for a $20 discount ($25).  For more information, or to enroll, call 1-(604)-435-7567.

TBA, 2008.  Speed Reading for Preschoolers and Kindergarteners. This is a new class for us.  Nobody else is offering anything like this.  Children as young as 4 or 5 can learn to speed read.  The younger they are when they learn, the better they internalize this important skill.  What's better, they don't have to already be "solid readers" to begin this program, though it will take a little longer (weeks or so) for them to acquire this skill.  One 6-year old Dyslexic girl that we are currently working with is doing amazingly well.   Look for this class in early 2008, possibly by March.
