Become a Licensed SR4K Instructor

Get the In-Depth Training
that You Deserve!

Dear Friend,

I never thought that I would ever write a book, much less an important one that would change the lives of thousands of children,  I never tire of hearing testimonials about children whose lives were literally turned around by learning one simple skill:  Speed Reading.

From 1997 to now (2010), I've been in the business of training people to teach speed reading to children using my book Speed Reading 4 Kids.  My purpose is to make speed reading a universal skill, just like basic math, writing and "normal" reading.  The SR4K manual has now been translated into 3 other languages (German, Arabic and Chinese) and will be soon available in Spanish (in early 2009).

Until now, there hasn't been a better way to become a trained speed reading instructor than to get my Speed Reading 4 Kids manual and try it out on your own children, or on other willing participants.  My Speed Reading 4 Kids manual was designed to be a stand-alone, do-it-yourself manual.  And in that context it's been a great success.  Thousands have succeeded beautifully in helping their children or students read faster and better.

However, as my project progressed, I eventually found the need to personally train several speed reading teachers.  It was then that I realized that some key elements of individal training programs cannot be bound in a book.

I also found the need to develop a curriculum for developing a depth of understanding about the background, history, theory, and well as as the future development and possibilities of speed reading.  Much of this material cannot be compiled within my SR4K manual.

In the process of time, I began to see a need that goes begging to be fulfilled:  Some people have a serious need to gain an in-depth training in speed reading and to be mentored to take speed reading to a professional level. These leaders will help change the world.  Yet, unfortunately, nobody's been willing to offer a professional-level speed reading training program for those who are interested in magnifying this skill.  What these people need are:

1)  A training course with a curriculum that's designed to help a person become a competent and fully-trained speed reading teacher.
2)  Ongoing mentoring to help ease the fears that the new trainee may have as he/she navigates the uncertainties of teaching his/her first speed reading classes.
3)  The confidence that comes from having constant access to expertise in the field in case he/she runs into a situation that he/she is unfamiliar with.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BEING A LICENSED SR4K TEACHER/TRAINER?
1)  You have access to expert advice on how to teach speed reading to anyone (child or adult).
2)  You can use the SR4K name and logo to promote your speed reading classes.
3)  You can sell SR4K  books and make a profit therefrom (simply by drop-shipping or by ordering in quantities of 10 or more).  My book is very easy to sell to class participants at workshops and seminars.
4)  You can get advice on different ways to create speed reading classes in your community.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO CONDUCT SR4K AS A BUSINESS TO BECOME LICENSED WITH US!Speed Reading 4 Kids will be teaching speed reading as a part of their ongoing business activities, some people will want to pursue this as part of a service, charity or educational project.

However, isn't my stated purpose to help make Speed Reading a universal skill all over the world?  I really do want to help everyone to learn this skill.  So I can't be the only expert out there doing the teaching.  Neither do I want to restrict the availability of speed reading unnecessarily.

So I came up with a solution this dilemma:  I will train and mentor anyone to be an expert speed reading teacher, and grant Certification status from Speed Reading 4 Kids, as long as it doesn't undermine the goals of The American Speed Reading Project.

Below are examples of those who would benefit from the Speed Reading 4 Kids Certification training course:

1)  Sally K.,  a 7th grade teacher,  wants more in-depth training before starting an after-school speed reading course for students at her middle school.
2)  Maria-Elena R., a Spanish-language teacher/tutuor who wants to include speed reading as part of her repertoire.
3)  Mary T. a parent and leader of her homeschool group, wants to create an ongoing local program to maintain a solid core of rapid readers to help strengthen the educationsl skills of the local homeschooled children.
4)  Steven M., a dyslexic parent, wants to lead a local community project to promote better reading skills for disadvantaged and learning-disabled teens in his community.
5)   Emmett G. wants to start a speed reading business in his city and use the Speed Reading 4 Kids logo and name.  He wants to receive some training before launching his sevice.
